February 2019 - Bringing Compassion to Difficult Emotions
In this month of candy hearts and valentines, I invite you to extend some love to yourself in the form of self-compassion. I encourage you to bring compassion to any difficult emotions that might arise.
Whether it is righteous anger, remorseful sadness, or lingering guilt, allow yourself to feel the presence of the emotion without stuffing it down. Experience it without feeding it and re-telling its "story".
Notice if you can feel the emotion in your body and offer compassion to it, allowing it to be, and then eventually letting it go.
